A new series of murders returns when people close to Tara Carpenter are attacked by the masked killer known as Ghostface. Her sister Sam returns to town to support her, but finds herself forced to confront a complex past connected to her family and the old crimes that shook the town. As the attacks continue and the death toll rises, Dewey, Sidney, and Gale intervene to try to stop the killer and uncover the truth behind what is happening. The events gradually escalate until the real plan is revealed, that the killers are Richie and Amber, who exploited the past and the horror film industry as a motive for their crimes. In a final confrontation inside an old house carrying memories of the first crimes, Sam and Tara, with the help of Sidney and Gale, succeed in eliminating them, ending the bloody night and restoring peace to the town after a series of terrifying events.
